PASTOR'S THOUGHTS

If you perceive something to be true, is it true?

Some say that truth is relative and is not an absolute. They believe what a person perceives as truth, is the truth.

Although that sounds wise and profound, it could not be what truth is.

The truth is not a perception, it is an absolute.

According to the 1812 Webster dictionary,

Truth is conformity to fact.

A fact is a thing that is indisputably the case.

These two definitions are the basis of the description absolute and refute the description of perception. A perception truth could possibly be an error where an absolute truth can never be in error.

In the church, Truth should not be determined by a denomination or religion, although the Assemblies and some other denomination and non-denomination checkout OK.

We as Christians must seek absolute truth. The greatest source of truth is written in the bestselling book of all time, the Bible. For thousands of years the original writing of the Bible has withstood all criticism, and has proven itself to be absolute.

Truth and facts have always back the Bible; the only thing that gets in the way of that statement is man's interpretation of truth.

I have dedicated the remainder of my life to knowing and teaching the truth; I encourage you to do same.

Here are two safe rules to follow.

Don’t believe everything you hear and question everything

Here is some absolute bible truth;

Romans 8:28 (KJV)
28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

1 Corinthians 10:13 (NIV)
13 No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.

Hebrews 11:6 (KJV)
6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Mark 9:23 (KJV)
23 Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.

John 14:6 (AMP)
6 Jesus said to him, I am the Way and the Truth and the Life; no one comes to the Father except by (through) Me.

1 Corinthians 6:9-10 (AMP)
9 Do you not know that the unrighteous and the wrongdoers will not inherit or have any share in the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived (misled): neither the impure and immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor those who participate in homosexuality,
10 Nor cheats (swindlers and thieves), nor greedy graspers, nor drunkards, nor foulmouthed revilers and slanderers, nor extortioners and robbers will inherit or have any share in the kingdom of God.
